Janine Zurbriggen inherited her deep devotion to Chasselas from her parents, who had already cultivated a profound respect for this historic Swiss grape. Fate aligned when she met Robert, during a vacation, a glass of Chasselas in hand, marking the beginning of a shared journey rooted in heritage and discovery.
For nearly half a century, they have explored the vineyards of their homeland stone by stone, slope by slope, following the legacy of generations who believed that true wine is shaped by tradition, landscape and time. Each year, they devote themselves to new study, honoring the wisdom of the past while refining their understanding of Chasselas with every vintage.
Today, they carry this legacy forward - not only as ambassadors of a grape, but as custodians of its cultural soul - inviting others to experience the timeless elegance of their land through every glass.
How can I begin to describe my time with the Zurbriggen family? I’ve known them not only through wine, but through friendship and shared passion. As a world traveler, I was used to tasting some of the finest wines across the globe - yet I never imagined that Swiss wine could reach such excellence until Zurbriggen showed me. It was truly life-changing.
